Defend the Rights of Refugees and Migrants! Hands-off Iran!

The International Migrants Alliance strongly condemns the recent attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran. These acts of aggression are not isolated events but are part of a long history of imperialist intervention, occupation, and war that have devastated the Middle East. They not only threaten the lives of Iranian civilians but also destabilize the broader region, pushing millions more into displacement, forced migration, and suffering.
Iran has long bore the brunt of imperialist aggression in the region and, despite facing severe economic sanctions and political isolation, remains the largest refugee-hosting country in the world, with an estimated 3.5 million refugees—primarily Afghans fleeing decades of war and destruction caused by US-led interventions. With each bomb dropped, millions more risk becoming refugees. These wars rob people of their homes, safety, and futures, forcing them to flee only to be criminalized, detained, or exploited abroad. This is the cruel cycle of imperialist war and forced migration.
We, as the global alliance of migrants and refugees across the world, call for an immediate stop to the hostilities. We condemn the US-Israel wars of aggression in the Middle East that violate international law and human rights and must be globally denounced. We say: down with Trump and Netanyahu, who have led the charge in fueling endless wars that destroy nations, displace millions, and benefit only arms dealers and ruling elites.
The people of the world must reject these acts of aggression. These are not acts of self-defense but criminal attacks against the people of Iran, the region, and ultimately, the working class. We express our deep solidarity with the people of Iran, and with all migrants, refugees, and displaced peoples who are once again caught in the crossfire. We demand an end to all wars of aggression and call on all grassroots migrant organizations and peace loving people to resist militarism, uphold human rights, and defend the dignity of all displaced peoples.
